Where can I rock climb in the UK?
There are thousands of climbing venues across the UK with a variety sizes, rock types and grades. Many of the best venues are in the more mountainous regions including the Lake District, the Peak District, North Wales and Scotland.

Can you climb in the Lake District?
Yes! There is an abundance of fantastic Climbing in the Lake District including single and multi-pitch rock climbing, bouldering, ice climbing, winter mixed climbing, sport climbing and indoor climbing walls!

What activities can people do at the Lake District?
The Lake District National Park is home to some of England's most stunning countryside including the longest lake - Windermere at 18.08km and the tallest mountain - Scafell Pike at 978m. In and around these two record holders there are endless, mountains, lakes, valleys and rivers. Outdoor activities are one of the leading things to do when visiting the Lake District. Climbing, Mountain Walks or Canyoning are some of the most popular activities of choice.

Is Scafell Pike hard to hike?
Scafell Pike is the tallest mountain in the Lake District and England at 978m. Whilst it is a challenging hike, it is possible for beginners or novices to reach the summit following one of many different beautiful routes, although unless experienced and proficient in navigation and moving on mountain terrain we would recommend hiring a guide to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable outing.
