Guided Climbing

Guided climbing with a fully qualified, highly experienced and psyched climber!

As a climber the only thing Chris likes more than talking about, planning for or dreaming of climbing is actually going out there and crawling on rock! He loves to share his passion for rock climbing and take a wide range of individuals from strong young indoor climbers, to experienced "old timers" out and up some incredible routes!

Your own experience, aspirations and dreams are truly unique, and so too is a day out with Chris. We adapt the day to suit your individual needs. Beginning with planning  'your climb' via email or a phone call, we continue to be flexible and adaptable on our excursions, changing tack to suit ability, weather and sugar levels!

There are endless options of climbs to get to grips with across the UK. If you have something in mind then let us know - if you don't then feel free to ask for advice. Below are a few ideas to whet the appetite.

Classic Rock Climbs

Climb some of the UK's best multi-pitch rock climbs (graded Diff - VS) including classics such as Little Chamonix, Agag's Groove or Tryfan's - Direct Route.

What prior experience do I need?

To undertake guided climbing, you do not need any prior climbing or scrambling experience. Some previous hiking/hillwalking experience and a base level of hiking fitness is desired but not essential.

What should I expect?

A guided day out for beginner climbing will involve a full (8hr) day out, including approaching and descending from the crag. All rope-work procedures will be explained in full with opportunity along the way for development or learning. Multiple climbs or a big multi-pitch climb will generally be completed within a day with options to take in summits if possible. Full itinerary can be provided upon request. A full kit list will be provided upon booking and some climbing specific equipment (such as harness/helmet/hardware) can be provided.

For those wishing to do bigger or more taxing climbs such as those in Hard or Extreme rock we assume you have some prior experience of climbing and will ask you to briefly outline this prior to our day out!

We offer guided climbing everywhere throughout the UK, although due to the scale of some of the larger Scottish excursions prices and availability may differ on some of these adventures.

Guided Climbing can be provided on a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio. If you are booking alone but keen to share the experience (and cost) with another client please let us know and we will try and accommodate this.

"Me and a mate went with Chris on my first ever climb, he took us through how the gear works and explained about the route. Could not have asked for a better instructor! Would definitely recommend to anyone, newbie or not!"
